Bring the Aquarium to Your Classroom

No time to plan a field trip? Don’t worry, we’ll bring the Aquarium to you! With Georgia Aquarium’s Education Outreach Programs, your school can be a part of the valuable learning experiences that the Aquarium has to offer – without leaving the classroom.

Our educators focus on subjects such as technology and STEAM through a variety of engaging activities, such as arts and crafts and live animal experiences. We connect your students with the world’s oceans using three different types of experiences to choose from:

  • Classroom Outreach
  • Live Virtual Outreach

All of our programs are aligned with Georgia Standards of Excellence and are structured for the appropriate grade level of your students.

Deep Sea “Aliens”

The ocean is made of many layers divided by salinity and temperature. The further down into the ocean you travel the less light you’ll see, the colder the water gets and more drastically different life looks. Discover the unique adaptations and environment created by the cold, dark depths of the ocean.
