Yes, each week campers will see both presentations.
Campers need to come dressed in comfortable, weather appropriate clothes each day. Open-toed shoes are not permitted.
No, there is no swimming during this camp. Nor do campers sit in the splash zones for presentations.
A bag with their lunch and a change of clothes. Please leave all personal items including toys and money at home. We also recommend bringing a jacket, as it is chilly throughout the Aquarium.
This year we are offering 2 different camps per age group. One in June and a different one in July.
Yes! As long as they are enrolled in the same age group camp, they will be together.
You will receive a prorated price and campers will attend for only 3 days instead of 5 that week, Wednesday through Friday.
If a camper gets sick during camp, parents or guardians will be contacted. If your child is sick prior to the beginning of camp, please do not bring them.
Generally, if something from a camper has been lost, it will be reported to camp educators who will then get in contact with the camper’s parents or guardians to try and return the lost item. If an item is lost and has not been found/reported to the camp educators, Georgia Aquarium’s lost and found service is located at the Guest Information desk inside the Aquarium. Please ask a camp educator for assistance and they will bring you to the desk.
Campers will receive a string bag, notebook and water bottle at the beginning of the week and two snacks each day.
No, campers will not have the opportunity to visit the gift shop; however, you are welcome to bring your camper outside of camp hours.
Yes, each camp may go out to the green space in between Georgia Aquarium and the world of Coke or the playgrounds at Centennial Olympic Park.
Two Environmental Educators will be with each camp, plus any volunteers we have helping.
Campers will visit the different galleries each day as well as spending time in our classrooms discovering aquatic organisms. Campers may have special guest speakers, create crafts, perform experiments and so much more, each day is a new adventure!
We follow the City of Atlanta mask policy and CDC guidelines. Currently masks are not required but are encouraged for both Georgia Aquarium guests and team members.
Unfortunately, Georgia Aquarium does not offer any grants or funding opportunities at this time.
No, for the safety of all campers and staff, parents or guardians are not allowed to follow or attend camp.
Drop off takes place from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at Georgia Aquarium’s Group Entrance. When pulling up to the Group Entrance, please place your car number in a visible spot on the dashboard. Your car number is the last four digits of your order number. We will verify campers’ names, then escort campers inside of the Aquarium. Pick up will take place from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Group Entrance. During pick up, please place your car number in a visible spot on your dashboard. Educators will come to each car to verify that the person picking up the camper is authorized to pick up. Once the driver is verified then they will wait for their camper to be escorted to their car.
Camp pick up and drop off occurs on the corner of Baker and Luckie Street, in the Georgia Aquarium’s designated loading zone. This loading zone is across the street from a restaurant called Dos Bocas, and is easily identified by the traffic cones and Group Entrance signage. Signs will also be placed on the sidewalks along Baker Street directing you to the drop off location.
The person must be registered as an authorized person for pickup and will receive a number that they will put on their dashboard. When registering campers, you can add authorized pickups. If you need to add additional pickups you may email the Education department at education@georgiaaquarium.org. Make sure they have their identification on them as well.

Yes. Campers can be sent home if their physical or emotional state becomes hazardous to other educators and campers (see camp behavior contract). Campers sent home are not eligible for partial or full refunds.
Campers must be at least 5 years old by January 1st, 2023, to attend camp.
No, campers must be dropped off between 8:30-9:00am and picked up between 3:30-4:00pm. Campers picked up after 4:00pm will incur a late fee.
All forms need to be turned in and signed appropriately before your camper walks into camp on the first day of the week. Educators will be outside on the first day of carpool to ensure all forms are turned in. We recommend filling out the forms online.
Parents or guardians must have read the Camper Behavior Contract with their child and accept responsibility for his/her behavior during enrollment in camp. Your camper may be removed from an activity and/or camp if this contract is violated.
Please let camp staff know prior to the beginning of camp. Each morning, camp staff will collect medicine and return it at the end of each day.
No, we will provide two snacks throughout the day but you are responsible for packing a lunch for your camper(s) each day.
Yes, campers will receive a morning and afternoon snack each day but if your camper has any allergies, we recommend that they bring their own snack.
No, campers will not have access to a fridge or microwave. Please pack your child’s lunch accordingly. We recommend using thermal bags.
